Full Time Police Officer
Qualified officers are invited to apply to New Bethlehem Borough Civil Service Commission to take competitive physical agility and written examinations at a time to be determined leading to eligibility for appointment as a full time patrol officer for New Bethlehem Borough Police Department. Minimum Requirements: Candidates, at the time of application, must have:
1) diploma from accredited high school or graduate equivalency diploma (GED); 2) 1000 hours of municipal police experience; 3) Act 120 Certification under Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Act; 4) U.S. Citizenship; 5) valid PA motor vehicle license; must be: 6) physically and mentally fit to perform full duties of a police officer; and 7) at least twenty-one (21) years of age
Successful applicants must meet all requirements of Borough’s Civil Service Rules and Regulations including background and credit investigation, and if selected, be required to successfully pass a physical and psychological examination.
